Raw Impressions Photography

In recent years, the advent and continual improvement of digital cameras has had a profound effect on the world of photography.
Though I had been shooting with 35mm film cameras, going back as far as 1979, this 'new' medium most certainly revived my enthusiasm for photography.
After some experimentation with an early Sony model, in October 2000, I purchased my first digital camera by January 2001.
During 2003, I progressed from using the point-and-shoot variety to my first digital SLR and was then able to, once again, use my existing collection of exchangeable lenses.

In 2005, I purchased a second DSLR and continued to pursue my enthusiasm for photography, by documenting the Tasmanian landscape.

Raw Impressions Photography was established during the same year and it became my goal to publish Tasmanian calendars on an annual basis, using images that will show this island state's splendour at its best.

I am currently employed by the Tasmanian state government, on a full-time basis. This should indicate that these photographic endeavours are currently purely of a part-time nature.

More of my work can be found on photo.net, Gekko Images and Red Bubble.
